Kept Back Nothing

← The Few

“And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house.”
Acts 20:20

The Few

Paul names something worth examining directly, kept back nothing, comprehensive, withholding disclosure, worth holding as genuine standard for whatever you are teaching others, not selective, curated instruction, but this fuller, more transparent pattern, everything profitable genuinely shared, not withheld.

Notice publickly, and from house to house, both settings named together, formal, public teaching alongside intimate, household instruction, worth examining against however much your own teaching has remained only in one setting, only formal instruction, or only private conversation, missing this fuller, combined pattern.

This is worth applying honestly to whatever you have been reluctant to actually teach or share, perhaps genuinely difficult truths, or genuinely personal struggles, kept back rather than genuinely shared, worth examining against Paul’s own standard here, comprehensive transparency, not curated, selective disclosure.

Consider today what you may have been keeping back that would genuinely be profitable to whoever you are discipling, and consider whether your own teaching includes both settings Paul names, public and household, formal instruction and intimate, personal sharing, this fuller, more transparent, comprehensive pattern.

Pour Into the Few

  • Examine what profitable truth you may have been keeping back from whoever you disciple.
  • Share it today, deliberately, following Paul’s own standard of comprehensive, transparent disclosure.
  • Consider whether your teaching includes both public and intimate settings, not merely one alone.

Prayer

Lord, let me keep back nothing that is profitable to whoever I disciple, teaching them publicly and from house to house, comprehensive and transparent, not curated or withheld. Amen.

Carry this today

Genuine teaching keeps back nothing profitable, comprehensive rather than curated.
