A Thirty Day Feast

The Feast

Remembering, Rejoicing, and Overflowing in Joy

Begin Day 1 ↓

Thirty Days · Remember, Rejoice, Overflow

Thirty days for the joy that remembers, rejoices, and overflows, regardless of circumstance.

Read this the way you would actually prepare for a feast: gathering what you have to remember, building genuine appetite for joy, setting a table large enough for others too.

For the next thirty days you are going to look honestly at joy: what it actually requires to remember well, what it costs to rejoice deliberately, and what it means for gladness to genuinely overflow beyond yourself. This will not be a study that treats joy as automatic or shallow. It takes gratitude as seriously as celebration, because you cannot rejoice well over what you have not first remembered.

The work is arranged in three movements of ten days each. First, Remember: the deliberate practice of recalling God’s faithfulness, the actual foundation joy is built on. Then, Rejoice: the active, sometimes difficult choice to celebrate, regardless of circumstance. Then, Overflow: the abundance that spills outward, shared with others, tasted now as a foretaste of the feast still to come.

Each day gives you the same tools. A verse to anchor you. A short reflection to be read slowly, not skimmed. A response to actually live out, because joy you only think about changes little in an ordinary week. A prayer to pray in your own words. And one line to carry with you into the day ahead.

How to use it: read one day at a time, unhurried, in order if you can. Let the reflection meet your actual life, not an idealized version of it. Actually do the response. Pray the prayer, then keep praying in your own words.

All Scripture here is from the King James Version. The feast is real, and you are called to it. Begin.

“Neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
